I am a mama first and foremost but, like many of us, my journey to motherhood was a challenging one. I had to dig deep, keep courage and believe that one day, I would be living out a life that I once dreamed of.

I started creating Roàmaci while I was focusing on my dream of becoming a mother. It was both an escapism and my coping mechanism. 10 years on from that moment we welcomed our daughter into our family, and while I always had the belief that I would one day become a mother, there were dark and trying times. Many of you reading this will relate to that feeling like it is taking over your life.

Throughout those years, I was met with numerous hurdles which resulted in me experiencing periods of stress. I knew these intense negative feelings would have a detrimental affect on my end vision. I felt swamped by the amount of differing opinions telling me what I should or shouldn’t do, but I was offered very little advice or support on how I could manage my mental health. I knew I had to do something for myself, so I decided to kickstart my own wellbeing ritual.

Leaning into my passion for jewellery and using ​my design experience, I set about creating my physical superpowered toolkit, that I could wear to give me focus and a feeling of strength. Without realising it Roàmaci was born and the stars started to align in order to bring our daughter to us.

Those first pieces I created still exist today and are the foundation for all the collections that have come after. They are pivotal pieces for Roàmaci as a brand, because it wouldn’t exist without them.

When I created the Inner Calm Bracelet I used Malachite gemstones, which absorbs negative energy. I used it as a prominent reminder of my ‘why’ and end vision. Adding the moveable, rotating bead to aid my grounding techniques and create the ‘Ritual Bracelet’ instantly elevated the power of this piece. It became more than just a gemstone bracelet and established it as jewellery with intent.

My Love Letters hand stamped pendant had personal motivational words of support to give me reassurance and self belief. It was a piece of personalised jewellery that I could look at, feel and centre in on. Adorned by my jewellery each day, I honestly felt like I was dressing in my armour.

In 2021 I made the decision not to let my ideas and creations exist as just my own toolkit, but to create something that would hopefully give the support to others too. I had found my own private powerful practices through jewellery and I wanted to share them with other women.

I wanted to remind them of their own superpowers and the importance of daring to believe in a vision becoming a reality; whether that be those with their own dreams of motherhood, women at a pivotal point in their life or on a quest to achieve and fulfil a personal ambition.

The response and support I have had for Roàmaci is unbelievable. Everyday I am thankful for believing that my moment was coming to me. I am grateful for the personal stories you share privately with me and the courage in your own hopes and dreams you hold tightly. I truly believe women can harness self belief and success if they

are surrounded and supported by connection and a like-minded community.
